Lay the slotted ruler on top. Align your fabric and cut strips through the slits. Aligning the 30° line (yellow dotted line in the picture above) along the bottom of the strip, and cut diamonds (The orange arrow is the cut line). Turn the slotted ruler. There's another 30° line going the other way. Aligning the 30° line (red dotted line in the picture above) along the top of the strip. Cut through the slits (The purple arrow is the cut line) in the same increments of the width of the diamonds.
